Human Machine, directed by Heidi Tirri and produced by Mouka Filmi, will have its world premiere at DocPoint’s National Short Documentary competition 2026. To be selected for such a prestige documentary film festival is a great recognition for all team and the film’s artistic ambition.
Human Machine examines the interface between humanity and technology in an intimate and visually distinctive way. Tirri’s work combines experimental documentary and poetic narration in a way that invites the viewer to reflect on what humanity is in a time defined by machines and performance.
The film is produced by Mouka Filmi, whose high-quality documentaries have garnered a lot of international attention in recent years. Director Tirri represents a new generation of documentarians who boldly combine distinctive narrative, art and a personal perspective in their work. Human Machine is a successful debut for Tirri and also for producer Emilia Jokinen.
The DocPoint selection provides the film with an important platform and opportunity to reach both domestic and international documentary film professionals.
DocPoint will be celebrated in February 2026.
